Does anybody have a solution??? The support department of wordpress does not respond and their forums/support pages are not very helpful either in this regards…. This is the message I send to support@wordpress.com this morning and simular messages I’ve send during the past few weeks but without any reply….

Hi there,

Before I want to upgrade the blog http://elementaryposters.wordpress.com I should like to see that the problems I am experiencing with secure connections to the wordpress.com server are solved.
I am using a brand-new Apple iMac (MC812) with the latest version of Safari. It does not make any difference when I clear cookies and caches or add an ‘s’ to ‘http’; the problem: Safari is unable to establish a secure connection with the wordpress.com server. Until so far the solutions offered in your forums/support pages are not sufficient. In practice I have to ‘reload’ pages several times. Submitting a post is a hazard for the page does not always open in full and adding photographs …. tsjoo…. I’m sweating.

Please help!

(Thanks)

Herman

It could be your internet. When I am at work, I have the same problem on my Mac. However, when I am at home, I do not have the same problem.

Thank you very much Seth. The posting helped! The support sep. of WP contacted me this afternoon and they promised that the problem (seemingly not new to them) has their attention and that they are working on a solution. We just wait and see. Had to ‘reload’ this page 3 times …. and now hoping that clicking the reply button has a better response….

    Great blog!
I accidentally discovered it when I was looking for a solution to the Safari problem. One of my readers use a Safari browser and she told me today that most of the time she can’t load my blog. Clearly she has no problems publishing on her own blog, so I don’t understand what the problem is. Hope the support people at WordPress figure something out.

John Olav: Is her blog a WP-blog?
The problem can be internet (WP-server) related. We don’t know yet. WP advised me to work in the meantime with Google Chrome which I (for the moment at least) refuse. Think this problem should be solved first. I had a reason to buy this Apple configuration and Windows was one of these…. Safari works perfect with all interactive social network sites except, so it seems, WordPress. And this problem only occurs since a month but is worsening the last few weeks.

After kjentsomjenny.wordpress.com contacted me about this problem another blogger has also contacted me about a problem with loading my page. This new one has firefox. I have no idea what the problem is, but hopefully it can be solved.

They can best write about their problems, post it on their blog, etc. PLUS send email to support@wordpress.com. The more people complain the faster a solution. And we know it’s not a ‘stand alone’ problem. It occurs in different parts of the globe and it might have to do with internet connections cq wordpress server.

I had a similar problem. Just for the fun of it I switched to Firefox as my webreader and my problem disappeared. The setup of these two webreaders are very different – it could be that.
Also if you disable Java, it could help. Please try and check. Happy New Year.

Thanks Macilane. After New Year I will work on the problem in co-junction with WordPress and Apple South Africa. Firefox is however not considered as a solution. And neither does disabling Java. It all has to do with the interaction between Safari and the WordPress server including all the links in between. At the end, I guess, it will be a simple solution for a complex problem as so often happens……
