3 January I joined the first hike (12 km) of the Strandveld Hiking club. The hike followed a coastal stretch between Die Kelders and Gansbaai in the Western Cape, South Africa. It was a surprise hike that lead us through some public and private caves. The first post (yesterday morning) consisted of blue tinted B&W pictures (portraits) of the hikers. The second one (previous post) of some images of the scenery and this third one with underground cave scenery. All pictures of this post (except for the 3 first ones in the gallery are shot without flash and tripod.
great shots!

:D:D:D If you look into my blog you will see in the right column some pictures. The portrait bottom right is our (almost) John who has a sister in New Zealand but what’s more: He is a long distance biker and he might have passed your house last month… 😉

Yes, there are often quite a few bikers passing through Dargaville – many of them overnight at the Commercial Bed and Breakfast…

As I’ve said before (!) this is a fabulous cave. Great to see more of it …. there is something intriguing about caves that beg you to explore. Maybe they appeal to the Neanderthal in us?!

Ah … Noeline. I stick with the native people of this part of South Africa: (Khoi, San or ‘Hottentots’)
