    1. 😀 Thank you Adrian. Reminds me of telling you to make contact someday with Isobel Clark (she is on FB) and living fairly near (bicycle distance) you. She still has to find out about Cowhill … (that hamlet along the Severn) 😀

      1. Herman, I don’t use Facebook, but if you’d like to point Isobel at my blog, we could make contact that way. But Cowhill I don’t know at all – maybe I should take a look at it, I’m always open to seeing new places. Adrian

      2. Will do so. I’m amazed that people in your neck of the woods don’t know Cowhill. In the seventies I’ve been there at a huge wooden salmon trap in the Severn (wonder if it still exists?) and I’ve been drinking the best cider ever. Made by an old farmer by pressing old-time Bramley apples through fresh straw… Near Cowhill is still a tavern along the Severn that is frequented by people from the Bristol area during the weekends. Funny that the tavern is known but the name of the village (hamlet) not…

      3. Herman, Isobel has left a comment on my blog, and I’ve emailed her this evening. I’m certainly very happy to be in contact with her. My contact details, ie my email, will be on the comment I left on your blog recently. Adrian 🙂
