Shop in Hopland

Informal settlements in South Africa  have informal shops. This one is in an old 40-feet container in Hopland, Stanford, South Africa.

    1. Most people of privileged areas in South Africa are afraid to go into a township (or ‘location’ as they call it) but most locations are fairly safe. But be careful in the locations in and around Cape Town (city with one of the highest murder rates in the world). You’ll have to know the way around there to avoid gangs (shooting at each other and stray bullets mostly killing innocent playing children). Very much like certain areas in for example New Orleans, Baltimore, Detroit and LA as I have experienced in the past.
