Art at Studio98 in Napier, South Africa

Except for my own photographs and Photo-Graphics plus the jewellery designs of my wife Yvonne de Wit, Studio98 also shows work of other artists such as Martie Gerber, Kevin Doveton and Jon Daamen. Not all are for sale but we can bring you in contact with the artists.

Here are a wall sculpture of At Prinsloo and rock art by Indonesian born Sam Siyahaya (RIP).

Load-shedding in the village

Since a few years South Africans experience virtually daily load-shedding. This means that there is nor electricity. It’s caused purely by mismanagement and corruption (including politicians). The ruling party ANC is at an enormous pressure to make an end to these power-cuts with the national elections coming up next year. In the meantime the trade in self charging bulbs is flourishing so we are not entirely without light.
