It’s hot here (Summer in South Africa)
Pictured are Sacred Ibises drenching in a dam
We’ve got three different sunbird species nestling in our gardens of which two in our courtyard.
The Double Collared Sunbird lives in our backyard (last picture).
The courtyard is home for the Malachite Sunbird and the Amethyst Sunbird; the latter loves the grenadilla.
Although this is not the flower season of fynbos (endemic to the Western Cape, South Africa which is a winter rainfall area) there are still interesting plants to picture during an evening stroll through the ‘fynbos.
