The staff of one of the ‘soup kitchens’ in Nuwerus, a suburb of our village: Napier, Western Cape, South Africa.

28 Volunteers with a multicultural background are engaged in feeding about 500 of the poorest people in our village. They all are very grateful for donations from private people, businesses and the farming community of Napier. After 35 days in lockdown we have now some freedom; meaning we may move around within a radius of 5 kilometer for 3 hours daily but we have to stay at home between 20 PM and 5 AM.

Despite lockdown and no guests (first ones expected from the first of December) the owner of this guesthouse has the reserves to maintain her property. In the meantime many casualties (closures etc.) in the south African hospitality industry.
