THE META SELFIE (rough cut) and the ‘About’ change

Sometime ago I changed my Gravatar with a new self-portrait. This picture is one of many in a new YouTube which I officially launched that day. Although it’s a ‘rough cut’ the tube provides you with an idea of all the processing that goes into the final selfie. The Gravatar image represents the halfway stage of this process. Although I realise that not many bloggers have the patience to watch every single YouTube I hope that this one is the exception of the rule … 😉

YouTube description:

“A photographer always sees more; even in him/herself. Based on one Black & White self-portrait with the use of textures and layers and with merging pictures this photographer succeeds in creating a colourful self-portrait. His ‘Meta Selfie’ or (subtitle) The Art of Being Me.

Music (Free Music collection): “Anduct” by Andreas Viklund.

This is just a 4 minute rough cut with stills of a 10 minute presentation including film-fragments designated for limited audiences”.

Yesterday I changed the description on my ‘About’ page for the simple reason that in the past months I’m also asked to manage some social media accounts. My photography comes in handy to visualise the message. It all started with a joke but if a small business sees its turnover increase with 30 percent within half a year because of the targeted ‘buzz’ via social media than the news spread itself like a bushfire 😉 .

THE META SELFIE (rough cut)

Earlier this week I changed my Gravatar with a new self-portrait. This picture is one of many in a new YouTube which I officially launch today. Although I realise that not many bloggers have the patience to watch every single YouTube I hope that this one is the exception of the rule … 😉

Sweet Dreams Laura!

The exception of the rule

With an overload of cat and dog portraits on social media I’m reluctant to pollute cyberspace with more cat and dog pictures. But of course there are exceptions. First of all is our own dog but that does not count. I love dogs and, honestly, I’m not a cat person. So it is very special that I publish an image featuring a cat. This one I met at a restaurant nearby dazing in the afternoon sun.
