Busy weeks ahead. To start with: preparing 2 exhibitions; first one ‘Angels & Demons’ in Breytenbach Gallery in Wellington from 26 November to mid-January 2017 and after that in Cape Palette in George. And then I just got involved in the decoration of a house in Hermanus with some of my Overberg landscapes; printed on high quality archival museum medium and in sizes 90×60 and 120x80cm. All framed!!! BTW the landscapes sold are not the ones published here.
There are many hidden faces/heads (animals, humans and creatures alike) in this imaginary.
The sculpture of the rabbit is made by Ulrich Riek from Napier, Western Cape, South Africa.
From 26 November to mid January 2017 more of my work exhibited in Breytenbach Gallery in Wellington (‘Angels & Demons’). Late January/beginning February exhibition in Cape Palette in George.
The Los Angeles Center For Digital Art (104 East Fourth Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013) will exhibit one of my pictures as part of the groups expo Snap to Grid between 10 December and 2 January. Director Rex Bruce of the LADC: “Very nice work. This night land/sea-scape breaths sphere. It invites to contemplate”.
Title of the picture: “Unspoiled beach”. Shot somewhere on the beach between Cape Agulhas and Gansbaai in the Western Cape, South Africa.
Tomorrow some of my photographs are ‘on show’ in a groups exhibition at The Stanford Harvest in our village. All local artists. Thought it was time to share my work with people from the region. Snapshot of my work before adjustment of the spotlights.
The images are all part of a series of, what I call, ‘Reduction B&W with added textures, elements and toning’. It’s time consuming procedure with thorough attention for details.
At 5 PM tomorrow is the opening and the exhibition lasts until 19 July.
Now I have to choose two images (on of each series) for an automotive exhibition.
Somebody out there who can advise???
