Brigid Taylor Jackson named this bird this morning on Facebook ‘Haaa de Haa’ and that is more or less exactly the sound of the shrieking once high up in the air (are they afraid of heights Brigid or are they laughing at us?). The common name is Hadeda or Hadada Ibis (Bostrychia hagedash) and although originating from Sub-Saharan Africa you see them all over here in our village.
Just uploaded our new FaceBook profile picture. Assembled of (self-)portraits I made yesterday evening and added two flower elements. Still needs improvement but for the moment it works.
Last month we posted the Birthday Card we send to ‘likers’ (and dear friends) on our Facebook pages. I just made a new Birthday imaginary with elements from pictures I recently made in our garden added with one of the angels of the Stanford Hotel (left). The background is the sky of 6 AM this morning.
I maintain 3 Facebook pages; there is the Green Cathedral of South Africa; the second one is Stanford, South Africa and there is one of me and my wife Yvonne which is the personal page. Via our personal page we see every day who of our FB-friends celebrate their birthdays and than we send a birthday card to their page. All flowers and rocks are from our own garden. The wine barrels are ‘borrowed’ from the Robert Stanford Estate and the church tower and telecom tower are from somewhere in our village.
Here it is (BTW next posting will be Monday or Tuesday) and you are this time free to download for your own use.
