In Greyton, South Africa.
In Greyton in South Africa. When you visit this place don’t be surprised to see free roaming horses.
A ‘Photo-Graphic’ is a photo (or photo-collage) with added textures and digital in-painting/drawing.
Greyton is just chosen as the South African ‘Village of the Year’ and from 19 to 21 November this year there will be the best Greyton Art Walk ever.
See you there.
In the meantime in the Western Cape, South Africa: The Greyton fire as seen from a distance of 90 kilometers in Napier. (this morning at 6:30). When there is a small fire in Cape Town it’s global news but a fire that covers the surface of Cape Town does not even get the attention of regional and national news media… I wonder…
Last Friday afternoon at 3: First Capetonians arriving within the boundaries of the Cape Agulhas Municipality for their weekend getaway in places like Napier, Bredasdorp, Arniston, Struisbaai and Cape Agulhas. Every Friday about 10000 to 15000 cars with registration plates of the Mother City (including suburbs) escape Table Mountain for enjoyment in the Overberg; the majority to Hermanus/Gansbaai, followed by the mentioned places and Greyton.
John Williams in Greyton, South Africa starts creating his breads at 1 AM every Saturday morning. At 10AM his 100 or so breads and some ‘brioches’ are ready. He puts them on a self-made chart and crosses the street to the market opposite his house.
Sold out in 30 or so minutes. Must be exceptional good bread.
