That’s real beer ….

… brewed “Method Classique” and served by people who really know to tell beer-(hi-)stories for hours with a never fading enthusiasm. The brewery is ‘Honingklip’ somewhere hidden in the country-side near Kleinmond in the Western Cape, South Africa. A must for every true beer lover travelling to South Africa. And the food, prepared and created in a ‘one-chef-only-kitchen’, is an excellent companion.

Doing something different with jewellery

Doing something different with #jewellery. Yvonne de Wit (she is just setting up her own blog; the ‘about’ page is more or less finalised), co-incidentally my wife and love of a life-time ( 😀 ), creates jewellery of sterling silver and South African Earth (such a diversity). Pictured is a pendant in the shape of a Zulu shield with a Nguni hide of soil particles. This is one of the pieces of a new collection that will be marketed in the course of 2014. All jewellery is, piece after piece, purely handcrafted and every piece is unique with different patterns. Every  #design is own.

The brick-maker left his signature

Look the the marks on some of the bricks (locally handcrafted in traditional way).

This picture will be the background in a serie of 10 ‘Imaginary Street Art’ pictures which I start publishing in this blog from tomorrow onwards on a daily base.
