Le Neuf Papesch; pour ‘Le vrai Connaisseur’

This is one of those extreme rare occasions I write about wine. I learned to appreciate a good wine many, many years ago in some of the most renown French wine producing regions and then I’m not talking about the known French ‘Chateaux’ but about those small wine farms that mail order their wines …

The Nose

(kind of impressionism)

You are missing the fragrance

This Fenestraria specie (don’t ask which one! 😉 ) originates from Namibia and Namaqualand in South Africa. Beautiful to look at but you miss the extra-ordinary sweet/fruity fragrance; a feast for your nose .. Flower is fully open during a few hours in the afternoon.

Outstanding

Not always easy to picture guinea-pigs; especially the free range ones. The first one was rather curious and sweeping his nose in front of the lens (16mm wide angle) and the second one just came back from a truffle (?) hunt in the mud. (See also yesterday’s posting).

Bet you’re glad that you don’t have to stick your nose in me….
