Jewellery presentation

Original jewellery designs and if you read in the caption on Youtube the designs are not purchased by ‘mainstream trendy’ but by a niche within ‘mainstream grey’ which are in fact the trendsetting women with a heart for quality and originality.

'Weltevreden' homestead

One of the few left original Cape Dutch farm homesteads in the Breede River Valley. Pity that the owning family (6 or 7 generations) has replaced the tatched roof with one of cheap maintenance free corrugated steel. ‘Weltevreden’ is Dutch/Afrikaans for ‘Content’.

Adenium Arabicum

… originates from East Africa. Originally thought from the Arabic countries in the North-East (hence the specie name) but later insight learns that it most probably is endemic to Tanzania or Kenya. Whatever, it’s a beautiful flower.

The River revisited

For me, born behind one of the Dutch dikes, a river in South Africa is more like a little stream in comparison with The Rhine, Volga or Mississippi; just to mention a few. Along our village flows the Klein Rivier (= Little River, or, maybe better in the context: Short River). It’s a fairly long river but its source is quite close to where it flows into the lagoon; it just took a long stretched bended course to find its way.

Recently I published the original picture (at bottom) but decided today to merge it with the inside of a rusty wheelbarrow. And this is the result; not perfect but worth the try:

Looking back

One of my first ‘imaginaries’ was created in the period I was still exploring the basics of Photoshop. This morning I tried to alter it a bit but I’m not very satisfied with the color versions. Personally I prefer the B&W. The thumbnail at the bottom is the original of September last year.
