I have the feeling that this Weekly Photo Challenge is targeting the Northern Hemisphere but I live in the ‘Deep South’ of South Africa; fairly close to the Southernmost lighthouse of the African Continent. And here we have summer this time of the year. And that results in an interpretation of the challenge that differs from the most I guess.
The Western Cape is a Winter rainfall area. The aloes originating from this part of the world are flowering. This picture is a severely cropped and enlarged part of the original photo.
Near Salisbury UK; in fact it are the remains or the original town. Photo shot on negative film in 1998 and now digitally reworked.
Some photo’s I made at Hemingway’s in Hermanus. You might ask yourself if this is a book shop or a museum? It’s described as one of the ‘must visit spots’ in the new Louis Vuitton City Guide of Cape Town. Funny enough Hermanus is NOT in Cape Town but 120 odd kilometers East of the Mother City..
