A few of the textures I use for background layers of photo-imaginaries. All natural but after some processing including HDR-toning etc. At the moment a collection of a few hundred to choose from. These layers add some depth. They are an ‘art’ of their own … 😉
….. is always Sunshine.
After heavy rainfall on Thursday 9 May the sun came through and around 9 AM I shot several detail pictures with my Sony A77 with Sigma 70-300 Macro lens. The lens was directed more or less towards the sun. All images in B&W. Today number 1o of 10. Think that this photo and the first one are the best.
Nobody in our neighborhood has nowadays a landline. Telkom, the South African telecommunications monopolist, has overpriced itself (rates are about the highest in the world). The few houses nearby with a wired Telkom connection don’t have a telephone anymore. The neighbors use their mobiles and some of them, like us, also Skype. An international telephone call with Skype is cheaper than a local call within our village via a landline… Despite all the new developments (our PC has a wireless connection) Telkom is investing in their infrastructure, replacing the copper wiring with modern fiber materials. The pole in the backyard of one of our neighbors is absolutely useless except than as a photo object…
Recently I posted about the experience with my first photo-model. Today I played with her a bit in Photoshop; i.e. adding different backgrounds. Think that the picture on top is the best. And if you have a different opinion just let me know. Never too old to learn!
