‘Riviersonderend’ (River without end)
“If you want to experience an amazing sunset you have to come to Klipdale”, an acquaintance said. “There is something in the atmosphere here”. And so I made the 20 kilometer dirt road drive from my village to Klipdale; a farming community of approximately 120 people between Napier and Riviersonderend in the Overberg, Western Cape, South Africa. I was there for an hour just to get the taste. And yes; I’ll be back!
This image of a landscape was made last Sunday near a wine cellar 15 kilometer North of Stanford in the Western Cape, South Africa. The distance to the Riviersonderend Mountains in the background is about 40 kilometer. Picture made with 300mm zoom. Yes; we are far sighted.
