Funny how things work out:

In 1996 I shade few snapshots in Santa Fe on my way from Denver to Albuquerque in the USA. A few weeks ago we had a visitor from Chicago in our Studio98 in Napier, South Africa. He asked me if I had some pictures of my travels in the USA so I went in his presence behind my computer and scrolled along numerous pictures until he saw this one:

“Hey, I lived in that house on the right, long long time ago”.

And: “Can your render this photo in something more artistic as in your Photo-Graphics”

“Of course I can Keith but it may take a while”.

“No problem. I buy it”

To make a long story short. The picture (approx. 160x120cm) was printed in Chicago (the courier costs from South Africa to destinations abroad have more than doubled in a few years time) and just arrived at the client’s place in downtown Chicago. Happy client for sure.

From this weekend onwards you can see them at our own Studio98 along the main road in Napier (100 meter pass the church towards Bredasdorp).

Some jewels with jewellery

Sometimes I’m asked to picture jewellery of my wife, jewellery designer Yvonne de Wit (Instagram@ @yvonnedewitjewelry). Here a few of the professional photo-models I was picturing for other purposes, who were willing to showcase some of het jewellery. It’s all Yvonne’s own design and it is genuine handmade (from melting Sterling silver pellets and other metals to the finishing touch)

Models shown below are Anette, Sheila, Eveline, Dorothy and Maryam (respectively from France, Malawi and Kenya)

Being above, let’s say 60 years, does not mean that you are not suitable for photo modelling. Here is Heidi; an elderly woman in her retirement years and she is great.

African Feet

👉”African Feet” was first exhibited at the UNESCO exhibition ‘The Invisible/Visible’ in Oslo, Norway and since then travelling around the globe.

During the exhibition CREATIVE NAPIER 24-26 September it will be on display in Studio98 along the main road (100m past the church towards Bredasdorp).

The exhibition in Oso was in december/January 2017/18 and curated by the previous photography curator of the Prado Museum in Madrid.👈

We had such a great response of all who attended! Thank you!!!!

And yes; we had to disappoint many of you for (Covid) safety reasons. One advise for those: book immediately. This concert was virtually fully booked (paid in advance) within 24 hours after the first announcement.

Next concert is planned for September.
