Peter Pan was here. Captain Hook too

Recently the local Dramatic Society performed the play Peter Pan and although ‘local’ it was of professional quality. A few shots on stage, back stage and in front of the stage. The first 11 (‘framed’) pictures are processed.

The last of 2017

The end of 2017 was a once off private performance of ‘The Better box Co’ of ‘THE HUNTING OF THE SNARK’ (by Lewis Carrol’) in, of all places, Wolvengat in the Western Cape, South Africa. The play was initiated by artist Willem de Roubaix who also created the moving cardboard orchestra (home made electronics and mechanics). If you think that Cape Town is South Africa, forget it; it’s only a small part of it. The real things happen in the ‘hinterland’ across the mountain…. Cape Town is just a ‘tourist thing’ 😉 .

The Last Resort

An imaginary based on an impression of a day outing of one of the local pre-primary schools in our village. They went, by boat, to The Last Resort at the outskirts of Stanford. The Last Resort is a place where children are engaged in ‘play with nature’. It’s entertaining and educational; certainly better than a day outing with computer games … 😉

And the airplane: just a bunch of high profile tourists who want to see the whales and shark from a high altitude… 🙂 🙂 🙂

Duck shooting in Stanford, South Africa

I love Japanese paintings and prints and should like to have an original at home. This morning, before the rain turned loose, I had my doggy walk with camera in hand and came across a bunch of ducks having their Sunday morning nap on some branches sticking out of the water. While processing the pictures I cropped one and with Japan in mind I started to play a bit with Photoshop. Not perfect but who is? Let’s stick to a Dutch/African interpretation of it.
